Comparison of Energy Usage For Powering a Lightbulb


I guess the facts don’t seem to show clean renewable energy in a favorable light. Maybe nuclear is the way to go after all.

    It’s a bit apples and oranges, renewable vs traditional. Traditional is all based on fuel, renewable is based on capturing energy that already exists in nature, so it’s really hard to compare. Yes, the efficiencies for renewable are lower, but they’re also eminently scalable in ways that fuel-based energy isn’t. If one turbine takes too long, build ten wind turbines.
